Job Overview:

We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated toddler teacher to join our team. As a Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for guiding and nurturing toddlers through their early developmental milestones in a warm and supportive environment. Your role will focus on promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth while fostering a love for learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Design and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow.
  • Plan Developmentally Appropriate Activities: Develop and implement activities that are engaging, educational, and fun, focusing on developing language, motor skills, socialization, and early problem-solving.
  • Encourage Social and Emotional Development: Support toddlers in developing positive social behaviors, helping them learn to share, communicate, and manage emotions.
  • Observe and Track Development: Regularly observe and document each child’s progress, noting developmental milestones and any challenges, and share this information with parents.
  • Ensure Safety and Well-Being: Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment, ensuring that all safety protocols and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
  • Foster Positive Relationships: Build strong, trusting relationships with toddlers and their families, offering open communication about the child’s day, development, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other teachers, staff, and the leadership team to create a cohesive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Parent Communication: Provide regular updates to parents about their child's progress, behavior, and activities, and work together to address any specific needs or concerns.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or educational setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development, including language, social, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to maintain a positive, caring, and respectful attitude in a classroom environment.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry children (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, and standing for extended periods.


Salary

$15 - $19 per hour
