Description

At Discovery Kids Academy, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment where young children can thrive. We believe in fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child. We're looking for a warm, reliable, and energetic Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team and support our lead teachers in caring for and educating our youngest learners.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teacher in daily classroom activities and routines
  • Support toddlers with feeding, diapering, and toilet training
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
  • Engage children in play-based learning and age-appropriate activities
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Observe and report child development milestones and any concerns
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing training


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teaching staff
  • Must meet all local/state licensing requirements (e.g., background check, CPR certification, annual training)

Salary

$13 - $17 per hour
