Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children. You will create a fun, structured, and engaging environment where children can develop essential skills that will prepare them for future learning. Your role will involve planning educational activities, promoting positive behavior, and maintaining open communication with parents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a Safe and Engaging Learning Environment: Develop and maintain a classroom that is nurturing, organized, and full of age-appropriate learning opportunities. Ensure a safe and welcoming space for children to explore and grow.
• Plan and Implement Curriculum: Design and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans that focus on language development, literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth through play, arts, music, and structured activities.
• Encourage Social and Emotional Development: Support children in developing positive relationships with peers, self-regulation skills, and a sense of independence. Guide them through conflict resolution and teach basic problem-solving techniques.
• Assess and Document Progress: Regularly observe and assess each child's growth and development, documenting milestones and identifying any areas of concern. Share progress with parents through daily reports and regular conferences.
• Promote Positive Behavior: Establish clear expectations for behavior, model positive social interactions, and implement strategies for managing behavior in a supportive, positive way.
• Foster Parent Communication: Maintain strong relationships with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress, challenges, and achievements. Address any concerns or questions promptly and with care.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with fellow teachers and staff to support a cohesive educational environment and create a strong classroom community. Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Maintain Classroom Hygiene and Safety: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized classroom environment. Supervise children at all times, ensuring their well-being and safety during activities.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest trends in early childhood education, participate in relevant training and workshops, and apply new knowledge to improve teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children (3-5 years old) in a childcare or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to maintain a positive, caring, and respectful attitude in a classroom environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry children (up to 40 pounds) and engage in physical activities such as sitting on the floor, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to participate in outdoor activities and supervise children in a variety of settings.
