Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and nurturing infant teacher to join our team. As an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for infants in their early stages of development. You will play a key role in fostering emotional, social, and cognitive growth while ensuring the well-being and comfort of each child in your care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a Nurturing Environment: Provide individualized care and support for infants, ensuring a safe and welcoming space.
  • Monitor Development: Observe and document each infant's development, including milestones, motor skills, and social interactions.
  • Plan Age-Appropriate Activities: Develop and implement engaging activities that support early learning, including sensory play, music, movement, and interactive experiences.
  • Build Relationships: Establish strong, trusting relationships with both infants and their families, maintaining open communication about progress, needs, and concerns.
  • Safety & Hygiene: Ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe environment by following health protocols, sanitizing toys and materials, and maintaining a safe play space.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other teachers and staff members to ensure consistent care and support for all children in the program.
  • Parental Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to parents regarding their child’s development, behaviors, and any special needs or concerns.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with early childhood education best practices and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with infants or young children in a childcare or educational setting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, infant care, and child safety guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, creativity, and a nurturing demeanor.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, caring, and respectful attitude in a classroom environment.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry children (up to 40 pounds) and perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.


Salary

$15 - $19 per hour
