Key leadership role in collaborative custom AI and Software product development process - working closely with clients, engineering, UX, and solution architect - to take ambiguous problems and turn them into buildable solutions, including awesome mobile and desktop applications for our clients.
Digital Scientists (DS) helps companies turn complex business problems into custom AI and software solutions. Since 2007, we have worked with clients to move from early ideas and prototypes to production systems that improve operations, customer experience, and business performance.
We are looking for a Director of Product Delivery to report to our COO, lead client engagements, and manage the Product Management and UX team responsible for defining new solutions at DS.
This is a senior, client-facing consulting role that combines product leadership, delivery management, account management, team leadership, and applied AI.
You will work closely with clients, engineering, UX, and solution architecture to take ambiguous problems and turn them into clear, buildable solutions.
This role requires working in our Alpharetta, GA office 3 days per week. This is a firm requirement.
· Build trusted relationships with client executives, operators, product leaders, and technical teams.
· Serve as a senior point of contact for key engagements.
· Help clients clarify problems, make tradeoffs, and define the right solution.
· Manage expectations, risks, scope, and difficult conversations.
· Identify follow-on opportunities and help grow client relationships.
· Lead discovery and product definition for custom AI and software solutions.
· Turn business problems into clear workflows, requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
· Guide teams through research, prototyping, MVP definition, and solution planning.
· Work closely with engineering and solution architecture to ensure solutions are practical to build.
· Own engagement health across scope, budget, schedule, staffing, risks, and client satisfaction.
· Keep teams focused on measurable outcomes and working software.
· Manage and coach Product Managers, UX Researchers, and Designers.
· Set a high bar for product thinking, consulting skills, and client leadership.
· Help team members become stronger consultants, not just stronger practitioners.
· Maintain quality and consistency across DS product and UX engagements.
· Help clients identify practical AI opportunities across workflows, products, and operations.
· Understand common AI patterns including LLMs, agents, RAG, workflow automation, and human-in-the-loop solutions.
· Work with technical teams to evaluate feasibility, data needs, risk, and expected value.
· Use AI tools directly in your own work for research, analysis, prototyping, and product definition.
· Experience with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar tools is strongly preferred.
· 10+ years of experience across Product Management, consulting, or software delivery.
· Strong background defining and delivering custom software products.
· Experience leading client-facing software engagements.
· Strong project and engagement management skills, including scope, budget, timelines, and risk.
· Experience managing and growing client relationships.
· Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across product, UX, and engineering.
· Comfortable working in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments.
· Strong communicator with executive presence.
· Commercially minded and comfortable discussing scope, tradeoffs, and account growth.
· Practical experience with AI and modern AI tools.
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
· Healthcare or other regulated-industry experience.
· Experience with private equity-backed or mid-market companies.
· Experience selling or expanding consulting engagements.
· Pragmatic Institute, Scrum, or related certifications.
