The Certified Test Consultant (CTC) Independent Contractor role supports disability-focused usability testing for websites, software, mobile applications, and other digital platforms. CTCs work with the WeCo team to complete testing activities, share feedback on their experiences, and help identify accessibility barriers. CTCs bring their own everyday ways of using digital tools - whether through assistive technology, accessibility settings, or personal strategies - to evaluate usability and share insights based on how digital products work in real life. WeCo’s usability testing is built on the perspectives of people who navigate digital platforms in different ways every day. This feedback helps organizations better understand how their digital products work for real users.
Certified Test Consultants work in a flexible, project-based environment. Testing opportunities vary based on client needs, project timelines, disability representation needs, technology requirements, and contractor availability.
CTCs are invited to participate in projects that align with their lived experience, assistive technology use, device/platform experience, and availability. Some contractors may participate frequently, while others may participate occasionally depending on project needs.
This role is designed to provide flexibility. Contractors are able to accept or decline project opportunities based on their schedules and availability.
Because work is client-driven and project-based:
WeCo values building long-term relationships with Certified Test Consultants and works to create meaningful opportunities for individuals to share their lived experiences and perspectives.
