Role Overview
As a Part-Time Associate, you help families have an amazing visit from the moment they walk through our doors. You support front-desk check-ins, keep our dig site tidy and safe, assist with birthday parties, and make sure every little builder has a great time. This role is active, hands-on, and perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids and creating a fun, friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome families with a warm, friendly attitude and guide them through check-in and admission options.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately.
- Monitor play zones to ensure safety and maintain a positive, construction-themed environment.
- Sweep sand, tidy play areas, and sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the day to keep the dig site clean.
- Maintain restrooms, front desk, and general facility areas.
- Assist with birthday parties including setup, hosting support, and cleanup.
- Prepare themed party rooms so families can enjoy a smooth, memorable celebration.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Follow Dig Depot safety procedures and report incidents promptly.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to keep the dig site running efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service, childcare, or similar roles is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working with children and families in a busy environment.
- Ability to enforce rules kindly and confidently.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy periods.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and engage in active tasks.
- Weekend availability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in indoor play centers, childcare, camps, or recreation facilities.
- Outgoing personality and comfort interacting with kids.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Reliability and consistent attendance.
- Basic computer and POS system skills.
