DGOPC LAW FIRM PLLC Associate Attorney Downey, CA · Remote · Full time

Asylum Associate Attorney - Spanish

Description

This is a full-time remote position, but the applicant must be based in Southern California to cover in-person hearings at the Los Angeles, Santa Ana, and San Diego immigration courts as needed.

We are seeking an experienced associate to join our expanding team. You will find a home with us if you live, breathe, and dream about the law. Legal developments genuinely excite you, and you strive to stay on top of the latest decisions and newly promulgated laws.

You see your job as a lawyer as a mission to ensure that your client is at the center of the experience. It's not only about winning cases, it’s about the holistic client experience, from onboarding, representation, and offboarding.

You frown when documents are poorly formatted, punctuation is off, and there are too many mistakes. The peculiarities of the English language fascinate you, you get excited when you learn a new word, and when you can use it in your latest brief. Words are your craft, and you relentlessly work to get better at it.

You like orderly and predictable processes that are teachable and lead to exponential growth. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with those around you and thrive on building up others.

When it looks like there's a dead end, you don't turn off your car and give up. Instead, you start digging a hole, seeing where it'll lead you. You look for solutions, not excuses. You may not know everything, but if there's an answer to the question you are researching, you will find it. Even if you don't succeed, you can safely tell yourself that you tried your best.

You take your job extremely seriously but are sufficiently lighthearted to remember your humanity, laugh at other people's jokes, and remember to have fun.

If that sounds like you, then we may be a match.
