We are looking for a friendly and dependable Retail Sales Associate to join our team and help support daily store operations.

Job Summary

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers, helping with sales, keeping the store clean and organized, supporting social media content, and helping create a positive shopping experience. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and is willing to learn.

The Retail Sales Associate will help customers find items, answer basic product questions, assist with purchases, and make sure the sales floor looks neat and presentable. This role also supports the team by helping with restocking, organizing merchandise, completing assigned tasks, and creating content in store clothing for Devine Diva Fashion’s social media pages.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and create a friendly, welcoming environment.

Assist customers with finding clothing, accessories, and other store items.

Provide helpful product information and basic recommendations.

Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system.

Handle cash, card payments, and receipts properly.

Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and presentable.

Restock merchandise and help maintain displays.

Assist with fitting room areas, racks, shelves, and product organization.

Help with pricing, tagging, folding, hanging, and arranging merchandise.

Support store promotions and inform customers about current sales or featured items.

Participate in creating social media content while wearing or modeling store clothing, as assigned.

Create and/or appear in content for Devine Diva Fashion’s Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok pages.

Help promote store clothing, new arrivals, sales, and featured items through approved social media content.

Follow management direction regarding what clothing, products, or promotions should be included in content.

Help maintain a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Work with team members to complete daily store tasks.

Follow store policies and procedures.

Notify management of customer concerns, inventory needs, or store issues.

Qualifications

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.

Must have good communication and customer service skills.

Must be friendly, dependable, and willing to learn.

Must be comfortable working with customers.

Must be comfortable creating and/or appearing in social media content for the store.

Must be able to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move around during the shift.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Basic math skills are preferred.

Experience using a point-of-sale system is a plus, but training can be provided.

Social media experience is a plus, but not required.

Probationary Period and Performance Review

New employees will be placed on a 3-month probationary period starting from their first day of employment. During this time, job performance, attendance, customer service, teamwork, ability to follow directions, completion of assigned tasks, and overall fit for the position will be reviewed.

At the end of the 3-month probationary period, a performance review will be completed. Continued employment will depend on the employee’s performance, reliability, ability to meet job expectations, and business needs.
