As a Sales Consultant, you are the ultimate brand ambassador for Department Fine Jewelry and Fragrance in the heart of Green Hills, Nashville. You provide best-in-class service with expertise, grace, and a discerning eye, ensuring every client interaction feels personal, intentional, and inspiring. More than just facilitating a sale, you are a trusted guide—helping clients discover extraordinary fine jewelry, rare fragrances, and objets d’art that align with their taste and lifestyle.
You understand that true luxury is about connection, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Through thoughtful engagement, you cultivate lasting client relationships—anticipating needs, curating selections, and offering a seamless, elevated shopping experience. There is growth opportunity at this location or the potential to switch to our second location opening later this year.

- Cultivates meaningful client relationships by providing personalized recommendations, follow-ups, and exclusive previews of new arrivals.
- Contributes to the success of the boutique by achieving sales goals and key performance metrics.
- Commands expert knowledge of fine jewelry, fragrance, and design objects—understanding their craftsmanship, provenance, and significance.
- Possesses deep expertise, or commitment to learn and gain, in our curated brands, product offerings, custom and customized options, materials and care, pricing, and brand.
- Values safety, organization, and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the boutique environment.
- Actively participates in vendor trainings and brand immersions to stay informed on collections, artisans, and trends.
- Upholds an omni-channel mindset to seamlessly service client through all touchpoints.
- Addresses and resolves client situations according to company standards.
- Observes social media etiquette when posting about the company, its brand partners, and products.
- Participates voluntarily to be photographed or filmed for social media content.
- Maintains impeccable boutique standards, ensuring stock organization, product presentation, and visual merchandising reflect our elevated aesthetic. Maintains boutique, tester, and floor inventory cleanliness and hygiene.
- Engages clients through multiple touchpoints—private appointments, outreach, events, and digital content—to foster loyalty and deepen relationships.
- Represents The Department of Finishing Touches both in-store and online with professionalism, discretion, and respect for brand integrity.
- Collaborates seamlessly with the team, brand partners, and clients to create a world-class retail experience.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a strong background in luxury retail, fine jewelry, or fragrance—boutique experience preferred but not required.
- Ready and invested in memorizing stock, materials, designers, and product knowledge.
- Is highly skilled in client development, able to cultivate and maintain a book of clients.
- Is self-motivated, proactive, and strategic with their time, customers, and assisting growing a small business within the boutique.
- Possesses an innate appreciation for aesthetics, sales, fine jewelry, craftsmanship, and storytelling in luxury.
- Thrives in a dynamic, high-touch retail environment and enjoys building genuine client relationships.
