Interns will be placed in different departments, each with different responsibilities.
Important Notes:
- This position is in-person, based in Richmond, Virginia.
- Unfortunately, remote applicants will not be considered for this opportunity.
- College credit is accepted on a case-by-case basis.
- Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Communications Intern:
- Social Media Management: Develop and schedule engaging posts for various platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, etc.) that align with our brand voice and objectives.
- Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics for social media, newsletters, and other digital channels using tools like Canva or similar.
- Content Creation: Write and edit compelling stories, blog posts, and updates that feature our volunteers, supporters, and organizational achievements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure consistency in messaging and brand representation.
Political Intern:
- Assist with preparation for Quarterly Steering and Central Committee meetings.
- Maintain and update internal and external party contact lists.
- Help track data, maintain records, and support organizational systems for the Political Department.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and local committees as needed.
- Conduct research and draft political talking points as needed.
- Perform assigned administrative and strategic tasks.
