Interns will be placed in different departments, each with different responsibilities.

Important Notes:

• This position is in-person, based in Richmond, Virginia.
• Unfortunately, remote applicants will not be considered for this opportunity.
• College credit is accepted on a case-by-case basis. 
• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Communications Intern:

• Social Media Management: Develop and schedule engaging posts for various platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, etc.) that align with our brand voice and objectives. 
• Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics for social media, newsletters, and other digital channels using tools like Canva or similar. 
• Content Creation: Write and edit compelling stories, blog posts, and updates that feature our volunteers, supporters, and organizational achievements. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure consistency in messaging and brand representation.

Political Intern:

• Assist with preparation for Quarterly Steering and Central Committee meetings.
• Maintain and update internal and external party contact lists.
• Help track data, maintain records, and support organizational systems for the Political Department.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and local committees as needed.
• Conduct research and draft political talking points as needed.
• Perform assigned administrative and strategic tasks.
