DASS seeks talented, hard-working, and organized Finance Assistants for Secretary of State races for the 2024 cycle.

Description

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting fundraising of the campaign and the candidate in their efforts to raise funds through researching donors, assisting with call time, staffing fundraising events and meetings, and using best practices and testing new methods to meet fundraising goals.


Description / Duties:

Included, but not limited to:  

  • Ongoing donor research 
  • Promote and staff fundraising events
  • Candidate fundraising support and consultation
  • Manage fundraising database and maintain data integrity
  • Create fundraising and follow-up materials
  • And all other duties as assigned by the Finance Director


Requirements

Ideal candidates will have at least one cycle of finance experience, though not required, and is well organized, adaptable, and committed to electing democrats. Must be available for evening and weekend work as needed.


Candidates with experience in fundraising are strongly encouraged to apply. 


Additional sought-after qualities: 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, NGPVAN, Numero, or other similar donor database experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions
