Delve Deep Learning (DDL) is an innovative tech company building the future of public affairs intelligence. We are currently in stealth mode, but here’s what we can share generally: DDL is developing advanced AI models, tools, and SaaS products tailored specifically for public affairs, lobbying, and external relations professionals. Our aim is to save these professionals significant time and offer unparalleled insights that elevate their work. Our first product is heading into closed beta and we’re building out our team to support its continued development.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a senior full stack developer to help us build the most advanced AI tools in the public affairs industry. You'll be at the forefront of integrating AI models and architectures into enterprise apps, crafting solutions to problems that no one has yet solved—and then you’ll be able to watch as your solutions transform the daily lives of our users. This is an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of technology and see your ideas come to life in impactful ways for public affairs professionals. From day one we’ll expect you jump in headfirst as we charge ahead in our product development, with two big responsibilities: 

1. Code Development: Expand and strengthen our enterprise application by managing data ingestion and pipelines, maintaining the backend, developing application logic, and enhancing frontend features.
2. AI Integration: Use the latest AI advances to refine our AI-first application logic, implement and fine-tune cutting-edge enterprise and open-source large language models, and utilize retrieval augmented generation (RAG).

• Capable of juggling tasks across the stack and learning new tools and frameworks quickly.
• A tinkerer and perfectionist with a strong bent toward working smart and getting products out the door.

Skills You Should Bring to the Table:

• Backend Expertise: Professional experience building and deploying Django backends using the Django REST framework.
• Frontend Expertise: Professional experience developing in React, implementing state management libraries, and using HTML and CSS.
• SQL Knowledge: Strong grasp of SQL queries, ORM, and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Cloud Familiarity: Capable of deploying and securing applications in the cloud, particularly with AWS.
• CI/CD Practices: Proficient in automated testing, various deployment strategies, and using logging and monitoring tools.

Skills That Would be Nice to Have:

• Exposure to or hands-on experience implementing LLMs into application logic and optimizing their performance.
• Exposure to or hands-on experience building applications using RAG architecture, and familiarity with vector databases like pgvector or Pinecone.
• Familiarity with using user feedback to fine-tune LLMs.
• Experience leading engineering projects or teams.
• Familiarity with Node.js and Express.
