About the role: DNCCC is looking for an Executive Director who knows how to lead people, manage public funding well, and show up for families in a small rural community. You do not need a college degree to apply. We care most about what you have done and how you lead. DNCCC supports Del Norte County families and child care providers. Our programs include: Alternative Payment Program (child care subsidies for about 120 families a month), Resource & Referral, including Family, Friend and Neighbor provider support, Child Care Food Program for family child care providers, Mary Peacock School-Age Center, Toy Room playgroups, car seat program, Wonder Bus and WeeRead literacy outreach. Families here face long distances, a shortage of child care slots, and limited services. The Executive Director leads a dedicated team of program directors and staff, works in partnership with a volunteer Board, and is the public face of DNCCC in the community. This role is a good fit for someone who wants to build something lasting: stable systems, a healthy team, and strong local partnerships.
The Mission of the Del Norte Child Care Council (DNCCC) is to promote and encourage the healthy growth, education, care, and development of children through increased community and family awareness of children’s needs.
