About DedCool

DedCool is a genderless fragrance house on a mission to build a new olfactive system. We are redefining what functional fragrance means, extending scent beyond the bottle into laundry detergent, car fresheners, lip balm, and beyond. Our products are clean, sustainable, and designed for everyone. We don’t believe in gender rules, we believe in personal expression, and we’re building a brand and a world that reflects that. Our retail partnerships are where the DedCool world meets the customer in real life. From our largest, most strategic doors to the specialty accounts that define the brand’s edge, how we show up on shelf shapes how the brand is understood. We are looking for someone who can carry that responsibility with both commercial rigor and genuine love of the category.

Description

The Role

The DedCool Finance and Operations team plays a critical role in sourcing, developing, manufacturing, and delivering differentiated fragrance and lifestyle products to our customers. The ideal candidate is analytical and detail-oriented, comfortable building structure in a fast-moving environment, and excited to work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data into smart decisions. You’re execution-focused, highly adaptable, and eager to build alongside a team that genuinely cares about the product.

Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting

  • Develop and manage both top-down and bottom-up finished goods forecasts by SKU, retailer, and channel
  • Analyze forecast performance, seasonal trends, promotional impact, and market shifts to continuously improve accuracy and reduce forecast bias
  • Own forecast accuracy metrics; conduct root cause analysis on variances and drive continuous improvement to minimize forecast error
  • Lead demand review processes and support the monthly S&OP cycle, aligning demand plans with supply, finance, and commercial teams
  • Maintain and refine forecasting models based on actuals and learnings

Inventory Planning & Management

  • Manage inventory health across all channels - track sell-through rates, flag risks, and recommend replenishment or reallocation strategies
  • Monitor retailer inventory levels, sell-through performance, and replenishment trends to identify risks, opportunities, and inventory optimization strategies
  • Define and maintain inventory targets, safety stock strategies, and planning parameters across all locations (DTC, wholesale, 3PL)
  • Own tracking of Weeks of Supply (WOS) and overall inventory health by SKU; proactively identify and mitigate potential shortages or excess
  • Identify slow-moving inventory, demand gaps, and excess & obsolete (E&O) risks while recommending corrective actions to optimize inventory levels

Supply & Procurement Planning

  • Translate demand forecasts into actionable purchasing and production plans in partnership with the procurement team
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams and leadership on capacity planning for new product launches, limited editions, and seasonal activations
  • Support new product launches by ensuring timely availability of materials and finished goods aligned to key milestones
  • Partner with Procurement and suppliers to manage lead times, MOQs, and capacity constraints in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Coordinate PO planning, 3PL coordination, and EDI management to ensure retail launches and BAU operations run smoothly

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Commercial teams to align demand plans with business strategy and financial targets
  • Work alongside Sales and Commercial teams to build customer-level plans aligned with retailer sell-in and replenishment calendars
  • Serve as a key link between commercial, operations, and finance functions to ensure alignment across plans
  • Proactively partner with operations and supply chain to identify and close inventory gaps and mitigate overstock risk

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting that make forecast accuracy, inventory health, and sales performance data accessible and actionable across the organization
  • Prepare, publish, and maintain reporting to monitor and assess performance at the SKU, channel, and retailer level
  • Run ad hoc analyses and support project management of key operational initiatives
  • Be highly proactive in monitoring performance to identify and resolve potential issues early

Qualifications & Skills

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience in a highly analytical role
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management — ideally in consumer goods, beauty, fragrance, or a DTC/e-commerce environment
  • Demonstrated track record in forecast accuracy improvement, S&OP participation, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment
  • Experience with ERP or planning software (NetSuite, Shopify, or similar) is a plus; exposure to MRP systems and planning tools a bonus
  • Startup, fragrance, or lifestyle brand experience or genuine passion for the category is a plus

  • Ability to work effectively across teams, manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Proactive and execution-focused: you follow through on commitments, build structure where there is none, and continuously look for ways to improve
