Position Summary

As a Tree Climber with Debris Ducks, you'll be responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees using professional arborist techniques. This role requires physical skill, safety focus, and experience with rigging, saw handling, and rope work. You’ll be supported by a solid ground crew and provided with well-maintained tools and safety equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other equipment.
• Prune or remove tree limbs and branches as assigned.
• Execute controlled tree removals using rigging systems.
• Assess tree structure, decay, and potential hazards on-site.
• Communicate with ground crew for safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain tools and equipment, reporting issues promptly.
• Clean and clear worksites after job completion.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a tree climber or arborist.
• Proficient with rope climbing systems and rigging techniques.
• Ability to operate chainsaws, pole saws, and other equipment safely.
• Strong understanding of tree health, structure, and cutting methods.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working at heights in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred (but not required)

• ISA Certification or formal arborist training.
• CDL or experience towing trailers/chippers.
