Gillen Yacht Services, Inc. is a full service yacht refit and repair facility operating for the past 30 years in the Ft Lauderdale market, providing quality services for yachts ranging from 50 to 300 ft. WE are looking for the right individual to be part of our highly skilled technical work force. With expertise in every area of yacht repair-we provide one-stop shopping for our client's vessels.

GYS is seeking a Service Manager to participate in the development and management of this market.

- The candidate must have direct Marine project management experience managing large scale yacht refits.

- The management responsibilities will involve hiring and overseeing approximately 8 to 15 technicians who have a variety of skills including mechanical, welding and fabrication, electrical, HVAC and other yacht related services.

-The prospective candidate must have a minimum of 10 years direct industry experience as well as performed service manager duties in a boatyard servicing yachts.

-The right candidate will be familiar with the process of estimating jobs, billing, running and managing technical crews and evaluating job performance and profitability.

-The service manager must have excellent communication skills and a proficient knowledge base to interface with Yacht Captains, Engineers and Owners.

-Previous management experience of technicians and excellent motivation and personnel management skills are necessary.

-The candidate must have a good attention to detail with a goal to provide a high quality product with exceptional customer service.

- The Service Manager must have good computer skills and the ability to learn the company software program.
