We are currently seeking passionate and talented instructors within the dance or wellness space to join our team on a contract basis, offering a 50/50 split with a base rate of $30-35 per hour.


Position Overview


As an Instructor at Datoire Foundation, you will have the chance to share your expertise and passion with students of all ages and skill levels. We are looking for instructors to lead engaging and dynamic classes in either dance or wellness within our areas of focus.


Our areas of focus include Latin, Brazilian, and African dance classes, as well as wellness classes such as yoga, sound healing, and meditation.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safe and enjoyable group classes that align with the Foundation’s mission and values.
  • Supervise and support students of all ages, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques and modified movements for different skill levels.
  • Implement appropriate warm-up and cool-down routines as needed.
  • Schedule substitutes and replacements for your classes as needed.
  • Adhere to Datoire Foundation’s policies and procedures.


Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and engage with other team members, students and community members of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Passion for your field and a commitment to helping others discover their own passion for the art form or wellness practice.
  • Proven experience as an instructor in either dance or wellness.
  • Strong knowledge of various dance styles, techniques, or wellness practices.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
