Dagard USA combines European technical excellence with American manufacturing, offering customers fast lead times, local engineering support and tailored solutions from concept to completion — and beyond.
The Director of Sales is the senior commercial leader for Dagard USA, accountable for profitable revenue growth across all of our markets. The role owns the end-to-end commercial cycle: building the Dagard USA brand in the marketplace, generating and converting new business, leading bid management and the estimating function to deliver competitive yet margin-accretive pricing, growing strategic key accounts, and ensuring an after-sales service experience that drives repeat business and long-term customer loyalty.
The Director of Sales will translate Dagard USA's growth ambition into a clear, executable commercial plan, and will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing and the wider Purever Clean business to position Dagard USA as the partner of choice for modular cleanroom solutions in the US.
▪ Develop and deliver a brand awareness strategy that establishes Dagard USA as the recognized leader in modular cleanroom and controlled environment systems across all target markets.
▪ Define the value proposition and messaging for each market — Life Sciences, Healthcare, Compounding Pharmacies, Semiconductor, Microelectronics, EV Battery and Biosafety & Research Labs.
▪ Partner with Group Marketing to plan and execute campaigns, digital and content marketing, case studies, technical publications and CRM-driven lead nurturing.
▪ Lead Dagard USA's presence at key industry trade shows, conferences and associations, and build visibility with architects, engineers, design-build contractors and cleanroom specialists.
▪ Build a strong specification position by securing Dagard products in owner standards and A&E/engineering specifications.
▪ Track brand reach, share of voice and lead generation, and report on marketing return on investment.
▪ Own and deliver the annual sales plan and budget, setting clear revenue, order intake and margin targets by market, region and channel.
▪ Identify, qualify and develop new opportunities with end users, general contractors, design-build firms, cleanroom integrators and A&E firms.
▪ Build and maintain a robust, accurately forecasted pipeline in the CRM, with disciplined stage management, win probability and timing.
▪ Develop market entry and penetration plans for priority US regions and growth sectors, including reshoring-driven Life Sciences and Semiconductor investment.
▪ Establish and manage channel partners, installers and strategic alliances that extend Dagard USA's reach and delivery capacity.
▪ Leverage Purever Group relationships and global accounts to unlock US opportunities for multinational customers.
▪ Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, customer capex programs and emerging technologies.
▪ Lead the bid management process end-to-end, including go/no-go decisions, bid strategy, win themes, clarifications, qualifications and proposal quality.
▪ Take full responsibility for the output of the estimating team — accuracy, consistency, turnaround times and capacity to meet pipeline demand.
▪ Set and maintain estimating standards, cost databases, productivity rates and pricing tools in partnership with Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing.
▪ Define and implement pricing, cost and margin strategies by market, product range and customer segment, balancing competitiveness with profitability.
▪ Approve bid margins within delegated authority, and escalate above-threshold bids in line with the Authority Matrix.
▪ Ensure commercial and contractual risk is identified, priced and mitigated, including payment terms, warranties, liabilities, lead times and material price exposure.
▪ Run structured bid reviews and win/loss analysis, and feed lessons learned back into estimating and pricing strategy.
▪ Ensure a clean handover from sales to project delivery, with margin protection maintained through to project close-out.
▪ Identify and prioritize Dagard USA's strategic key accounts across end users, contractors and integrators.
▪ Develop account plans for each key account covering relationship mapping, capex pipeline, share of wallet and growth targets.
▪ Build senior, trusted relationships with customer decision makers and influencers in engineering, procurement, operations and quality.
▪ Pursue framework agreements, preferred supplier status and multi-site programs to secure recurring revenue.
▪ Run regular business reviews with key accounts to measure satisfaction, resolve issues and identify new opportunities.
▪ Take ownership of rebuilding and strengthening relationships where customer confidence needs to be restored.
▪ Lead the after-sales service function, ensuring an excellent customer experience after project handover.
▪ Develop after-sales offerings — spare parts, modifications, extensions, reconfigurations, maintenance and upgrades — as a profitable recurring revenue stream.
▪ Ensure warranty claims, defects and customer complaints are managed promptly, fairly and to resolution, with root causes addressed.
▪ Establish service level standards and customer satisfaction measures (e.g., NPS) and report performance to the leadership team.
▪ Use installed-base insight to identify new sales opportunities and reference sites.
▪ Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing sales, estimating, key account and after-sales team, setting clear objectives and holding the team accountable.
▪ Attract and retain commercial talent to support the growth plan, including succession planning for key roles.
