Direct Care Support Staff

Overview:

At DACS Foundation Inc., our Direct Care Support Staff play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities by providing compassionate, hands-on support that fosters independence, community inclusion, and personal growth. This role is perfect for individuals who are dedicated, responsible, and committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, and mobility.

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals, whether related to employment, education, social engagement, or life skills development.

• Facilitate community outings to promote independence, inclusion, and social interaction.

• Ensure a safe and supportive environment while respecting the individual’s rights and personal choices.

• Serve as a trusted companion and advocate, assisting in the development of independence and self-confidence.

Qualifications & Expectations:

• Experience in the field is a plus, but not required—passion, dedication, and a willingness to learn are key.

• A valid driver’s license and insurance are required for transportation needs.

• Must be responsible, reliable, and committed to the well-being of the individuals served.

• Ability to conduct oneself professionally while working with individuals and their families.
