The Mission Logistics Specialist – Advanced Robotics provides part-time / hybrid remote/onsite logistics, inventory, maintenance, and program coordination support for advanced robotic systems used in U.S. Army missile demilitarization and research activities. Supporting the U.S. Army DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC) Fires Directorate (TDD), this position plays a critical role in ensuring mission readiness by managing spare parts inventories, coordinating maintenance activities, supporting procurement efforts, and maintaining operational readiness of specialized robotic systems operating at Anniston Munitions Center (ANMC). Working alongside government engineers, technicians, and research personnel, the Mission Logistics Specialist serves as the logistics focal point for a highly specialized team responsible for the safe disassembly and demilitarization of missile systems, subsystems, and/or other energetics. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across engineering, maintenance, procurement, and production organizations. Projects are executed in Army Depot / Munitions Center environments supporting national defense missions. The Mission Logistics Specialist ensures critical replacement parts, maintenance schedules, certifications, contracts, and inventory systems remain synchronized so robotic operations continue safely, efficiently, and in support of mission objectives.
Location
This position supports the U.S. Army DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center Technology Development Directorate at the Anniston Munitions Center (ANMC) in Anniston, Alabama.
Work environments include industrial facilities, robotics laboratories, missile demilitarization facilities, storage locations, and production areas supporting the safe disassembly of missile systems and energetic materials.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Remote/Onsite
Schedule: Part-Time (average of approximately 24 hours per week: 2 days onsite & 1 day remote)
Travel: Up to 10% as required by mission requirements.

This position serves as the primary coordinator for spare parts management, maintenance planning, vendor coordination, inventory accountability, and logistics activities supporting robotic systems used in the disassembly and demilitarization of missile systems and energetic materials. The Mission Logistics Specialist works closely with engineers, technicians, production planners, contractors, and government personnel to ensure critical robotic systems remain fully operational and mission-ready.
The position also supports budget planning, contract administration, certification management, and technical coordination activities that enable continued research, development, testing, and operational support for missile demilitarization programs.
