The Therapist provides individual therapy services to clients with a variety of mental health conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, consistent documentation, and the ability to maintain a structured caseload.
This is a 1099 contractor role with flexibility, but also clear expectations for attendance, documentation, and patient care quality.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Provide individual therapy sessions (in-person and/or telehealth)
- Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions appropriate to patient needs
- Maintain appropriate caseload and scheduling consistency
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete clinical documentation (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes) in a timely manner
- Maintain compliance with clinical, legal, and payer requirements
- Utilize structured documentation templates and follow established workflows
- Ensure accurate and complete records to support medical necessity
Care Coordination
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers and administrative staff
- Communicate any patient concerns, risks, or clinical issues appropriately
- Participate in maintaining continuity of care
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted Georgia license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field
- Ability to work independently as a contractor
- Strong documentation and clinical assessment skills
Preferred
- Experience in outpatient behavioral health setting
- Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance
- Experience using EHR systems
- Ability to maintain consistent weekly caseload
Compensation & Structure
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Compensation per completed session (rate based on experience and productivity)
