Description

The Therapist provides individual therapy services to clients with a variety of mental health conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, consistent documentation, and the ability to maintain a structured caseload.

This is a 1099 contractor role with flexibility, but also clear expectations for attendance, documentation, and patient care quality.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

  • Provide individual therapy sessions (in-person and/or telehealth)
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions appropriate to patient needs
  • Maintain appropriate caseload and scheduling consistency

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete clinical documentation (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes) in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with clinical, legal, and payer requirements
  • Utilize structured documentation templates and follow established workflows
  • Ensure accurate and complete records to support medical necessity

Care Coordination

  • Collaborate with psychiatric providers and administrative staff
  • Communicate any patient concerns, risks, or clinical issues appropriately
  • Participate in maintaining continuity of care

Qualifications

Required

  • Active, unrestricted Georgia license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field
  • Ability to work independently as a contractor
  • Strong documentation and clinical assessment skills

Preferred

  • Experience in outpatient behavioral health setting
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance
  • Experience using EHR systems
  • Ability to maintain consistent weekly caseload

Compensation & Structure

  • 1099 independent contractor position

Salary

$45 - $70 per hour
