As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on designing, developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms. These would include developing techniques to augment Large Language Models such as GPT-4, BARD etc. with retrieval techniques and tools as well as fine tuning those models for specific tasks. You will work in a tight knit team, working closely with the founding team who have a strong track record of building industry defining machine learning and analytics products.

About the Role: 


As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on designing, developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms. These would include developing techniques to augment and fine-tune Large Language Models both open source and proprietary etc. with retrieval techniques and tools as well as fine tuning those models for specific tasks. You will work in a tight knit team, working closely with the founding team who have a strong track record of building industry defining machine learning and analytics products. 


 


Job Function 


  • Ability to rapidly prototype ideas using large language models and develop and implement ML solutions by fine-tuning these models and augmenting them with retrieval 
  • Ability to use expertise in information retrieval, search ranking and natural language processing to develop these solutions 
  • Implement effective data processing techniques to ensure high-quality input for the machine learning models 
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of machine learning models, considering factors such as accuracy, efficiency and scalability 
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in large language model research, integrating relevant findings into our projects 

 


Qualifications: 


  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related field 
  • 5-10 years of experience in applied machine learning with a focus on such fields as search, recommendations and information retrieval 
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow 
  • Strong understanding of NLP techniques 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment 
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite 4-5 days a week at our Sunnyvale office
