Role Description

As Key Relationships Manager (Chicago), you’ll report to the Founder/CEO and work alongside a passionate team of volunteers. You’ll cultivate and steward a portfolio of existing and new individual and corporate donors. You'll partner and support the Founder/CEO in her fundraising efforts. You'll spend most of your time and energy engaging with supporters (in person, online, and at local events), communicating organizational priorities and supporters’ impact, and continuously working to improve the donor experience. You will play a key role in developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan, managing and growing Culinary Care's supporters database, and helping coordinate special events and campaigns. All members of the Culinary Care team are expected to deliver meals. This role requires your attendance at events. These events may take place in the evening and/or on weekends.


You'll be responsible for...

●      Contributing to the collective team and organization revenue goals

●      Developing a qualified portfolio of current and prospective corporate supporters

●      Cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donor relationships toward a specific annual fundraising goal

●      Having a deep understanding of our donors, what motivates them, and how we can improve their experience

●      Managing volunteer experiences as they relate to building and maintaining a portfolio of donors

●      Partnering with and assisting the Founder/CEO in cultivating her portfolio of principal givers, lending expertise and support from proposal development to solicitation and allocation of resources

●      Maintaining an events schedule (20-30 per year) to be the onsite Culinary Care representative

●      Coordinating and leading small cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year with the objective of sharing the Culinary Care mission with new audiences

●      Mentoring Associate Board members and directly managing them as appropriate

●      Consistently delivering a thoughtful, creative, and exceptional donor experience

●      Engaging in continued learning around Culinary Care's programmatic work through meal deliveries, speaking with meal recipients, and more


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, development, sales, or account management
  • Experience in cultivating individual and corporate donors, grant writing, and fundraising campaigns
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders, including donors, board members, volunteers, and community members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and deliver compelling presentations and fundraising materials
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software such as Salesforce, FundraiseUp, etc.
  • Commitment to the mission of Culinary Care and the ability to effectively communicate its impact in the community
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization is a plus
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends

Salary

$70,000 - $80,000 per year
