Armed Protection Officer – Sentry Division

Department: Security

Reports to: Operations Manager

Status: Part-Time, On-Call, Armed Position

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $35.00/hour

Rate depends on experience, client assignment, and relevant training/certifications.

Position Summary:

CSD Security Services is seeking professional Armed Protection Officers for our specialized Sentry Division. Officers in this unit are responsible for safeguarding client property and personnel. Officers are expected to maintain a sharp, vigilant presence while demonstrating excellent judgment, courtesy, and professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain high-visibility presence at assigned posts or during patrol
• Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized individuals
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, or alarms in a calm and decisive manner
• Complete daily logs, incident reports, and field communication reports
• Support emergency response, crowd control, or evacuation protocols
• Uphold all CSD operational standards and follow site-specific post orders

Minimum Requirements:

• Required: Valid CA Guard Card
• Required: Valid Exposed Firearm Permit (BSIS)
• Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Minimum 1 year of security or law enforcement experience (armed preferred)
• Strong situational awareness and de-escalation skills
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
• Professional appearance and demeanor required at all times
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow orders precisely
• Available for evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Able to stand for long periods, walk patrols, and operate in outdoor environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military, law enforcement, or executive protection background is a plus
• Current certifications in baton, pepper spray (OC), CPR/First Aid

Additional Information:

This is an armed field assignment position under our Sentry Division. Officers are expected to represent CSD Security Services with integrity, discretion, and authority at all times. Assignments may include special events, overnight protection, or stationary posts.
