Crown Point Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to support modernization and innovation efforts across mission-critical systems. In this role, you will work directly with mission stakeholders to evaluate existing environments, conduct rapid technical experiments, and develop proof-of-concept solutions that influence enterprise architecture and future system design.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, evaluating emerging technologies, and rapidly prototyping solutions that drive mission modernization.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with mission stakeholders to identify system gaps and modernization opportunities
- Conduct technical trade studies and deliver actionable architecture recommendations
- Design and execute rapid “fail-fast” experiments to evaluate emerging technologies
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions and transition successful prototypes into operational systems
- Support modernization efforts including cloud adoption and refactoring legacy systems into cloud-native architectures
- Implement secure solutions using modern authentication, authorization, and PKI frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile development environment
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- 14+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong development experience with Java, Python, and JavaScript (React)
- Experience building REST APIs and service-based architectures
- Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3)
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible or similar)
- Experience working in Agile environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune)
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with identity and access management solutions (Keycloak)
- Experience designing scalable cloud-native architectures
