Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Dispatch Manager to join our dynamic team at John's Towing. Please note that this job can be part-time or full-time. In this vital role, you will support the dispatching process on a daily basis to ensure that we can quickly and accurately dispatch calls for our law enforcement partners, motor club partners, and private citizens. This position will also be asked to take on key managerial tasks related to billing and reporting. You will also play a critical role in creating and improving operations across dispatchers as we look to expand our business.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with drivers, motor clubs, customers, and managers to ensure all parties have the latest information and can operate quickly and safely.
• Maintain detailed data entry logs related to vehicle and customer information.
• Provide updates to customers and drivers while in route.
• Assist in regulatory filings and invoicing including auditing the work of team members.
• Create training materials and standard operating procedures for the dispatching function.
• Facilitate outreach to potential new customers and accounts.
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies in support of company goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatching in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google suite.
• Familiarity with dispatching software such as Towbook
• Knowledge of PUC regulations and other regulations impacting the towing industry.
• Comfort in auditing invoices or billing details.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication skills for internal coordination and customer service via phone call management and phone etiquette.
• Willingness to identify and onboard new accounts to grow sales for the business.
• Experience in coaching team members on areas for improvement and creating training documentation.
