Role Overview:

As the Major Gifts Officer, you will be instrumental in advancing CCC’s mission by cultivating and securing significant donations from high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Your expertise in building strong relationships and strategic fundraising will be key to achieving our ambitious financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure Major Gifts: Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donations ($100,000+) from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key donors and stakeholders to ensure long-term support.
• Strategic Planning: Create and implement effective donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans to meet fundraising targets.
• Proposal Development: Collaborate with grant writers and team members to craft compelling grant proposals and fundraising materials.
• Fundraising Initiatives: Identify new funding opportunities and develop innovative strategies to expand CCC’s donor base.
• Event Participation: Represent CCC at donor events, community meetings, and industry conferences to enhance visibility and attract new supporters.
• Data Management: Utilize CRM tools (preferably Salesforce) to track donor interactions, monitor fundraising metrics, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, grant writers, and volunteers to align fundraising efforts and achieve collective goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to close rounds of funding in excess of 1MM with a strong fundraising track record.
• Strategic Leader: Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills to develop and execute effective fundraising strategies.
• Entrepreneurial Drive: Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently to achieve ambitious revenue goals.
• Excellent Communicator: Superior written and verbal communication skills to create persuasive proposals and engage donors effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, for managing donor relationships and fundraising activities.
• Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work seamlessly with various teams, including leadership, grant writers, and volunteers.
• Philanthropic Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the philanthropic landscape, including major foundations, CSR programs, and individual giving strategies.
