About the Role

We’re seeking a reliable and skilled Event Chef to support and execute back-of-house operations at off-premise catering events. This role is ideal for a strong culinary professional who can execute at a high level and is continuing to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced event environment.


You’ll play a key role in delivering quality food and smooth service, either leading smaller events or supporting a Senior Event Head Chef on larger, more complex events.


What You'll Do

  • Execute menus based on BEOs and Culinary Notes with accuracy and consistency
  • Lead or assist BOH teams depending on event size and complexity
  • Ensure food is properly prepped, heated, finished, and plated on time
  • Follow event timelines and communicate with the Event Manager or Event Head Chef
  • Assist with coordinating service flow and adapting to timeline changes
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and temperature
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support kitchen setup, execution, and breakdown at off-site events
  • Work collaboratively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth execution


Leadership & Growth Expectations

  • Lead smaller teams or stations with clear direction and accountability
  • Support delegation and team coordination under guidance on larger events
  • Continue developing communication and leadership skills
  • Take initiative and step into increased responsibility as experience grows


What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of culinary experience
  • Some experience in off-premise catering or high-volume service preferred
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Basic leadership and team coordination skills
  • Ability to follow timelines and direction effectively
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification required


Preferred

  • Experience supporting or leading small off-site events
  • Interest in growing into a senior leadership role
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
