The Craftsbury Outdoor Center (COC) is a community-focused athletic training facility and outdoor destination located on a lakeside campus in Craftsbury, Vermont. Your familiarity with and enthusiasm for working and playing in a small and rural community will help the COC achieve our Mission:
As a Dishwasher / Prep Cook, you will have the luxuries of working with a registered dietician, fresh ingredients from our on-site gardens and a spacious modern kitchen. The dining hall operates seasonally, May-October and November-March, serving three meals a day to approximately 120 guests. Meals are served buffet style and feature two choices of entrée (one of which is always vegetarian), multiple side dishes, a two-bay salad bar, as well as fresh fruits, breads and desserts.
Our kitchen serves guests, resident athletes, Olympians, coaches and staff members. This position requires a flexible schedule with willingness, availability and commitment to working during an evening shift(s), weekend day(s) and some holidays.
The starting pay for this position is $18 per hour. Full time and Part time positions are available.
You will understand this is an entry-level role in an open-design kitchen with a dining hall atmosphere. A high school diploma or GED coupled with a reliable and dependable work ethic are mandatory requirements to join our team. You must also have the physical stamina to stand for several hours and lift at least 30 pounds. The respectful acceptance of coaching and constructive feedback with an open mind will help improve your overall skills, abilities and efficiencies. You will accept that washing dishes, cleaning workspaces, the dining hall and mopping floors are a daily part of your duties and responsibilities. At the end of each workday, you will feel a sense of pride knowing that you worked with a great team of like-minded individuals and you contributed to providing a service and experience to our guests that inspire them to return year after year.

$18 - $18.5 per hour
