CR Custom Electric is a well-established electrical contracting company servicing the Phoenix metro area since 2001. We specialize in high-end residential (>5k livable sqft) and commercial new construction projects. With a strong reputation built on quality workmanship and excellent client relationships, we're looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in our organization by overseeing both residential and commercial electrical projects from inception to completion. This position will work closely with our field superintendents, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will help establish and maintain efficient processes, documentation systems, and operational standards that will support our growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Oversee multiple electrical construction projects concurrently, monitoring progress, quality, and adherence to schedules
- Coordinate with general contractors, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Identify potential issues early and implement corrective actions
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Process Development
- Establish standardized project management procedures and documentation systems
- Create and implement quality control processes and checkpoints
- Develop project tracking methods and reporting templates
- Assist in creating standard operating procedures for project execution
Team Coordination
- Work collaboratively with our Residential Superintendent and Commercial Foremen
- Facilitate effective communication between office and field personnel
- Support field teams with necessary resources and information
- Assist in planning for manpower and material needs across projects
Client Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and general contractors
- Manage client expectations through clear, consistent communication
- Conduct professional meetings with clients and general contractors
- Handle project-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of project management experience in electrical contracting or closely related field
- Strong understanding of electrical construction practices, codes, and standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of the Phoenix construction market
- Experience working with high-end residential and commercial projects
- Background in developing standardized processes and documentation systems
