THE ROLE

We are seeking full-time Advisory Chiefs (aka “Directors” or “Managers”) whose responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:


  • Leading a growing division of advisory professionals to ensure our members are provided with solutions in the areas of internal auditing, risk management, business processes, controls design and implementation, and more.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to broaden and grow our member base for our advisory solutions.
  • Managing the day-to-day activities and priorities of multiple companies and/or CPA firms
  • Consulting and researching technical advisory issues in the areas of System & Organization Controls (SOC) reporting, information technology, business process controls, risk advisory, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 implementation and compliance, and/or other business consulting
  • Serving as a preparer and/or reviewer of advisory and/or outsourced internal audit workpapers  
  • Composing advisory quality control policies and procedures
  • Testing a firm’s or company’s system of quality control 
  • Developing and facilitating training on relevant advisory topics
  • Representing CPAClub by attending and participating in conferences and meetings related to the AICPA, IRS, PCAOB, SEC, and other external parties
  • Planning and executing on internal strategic initiatives and business development activities


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • An experienced high-performing advisory professional with 5 - 12 years of progressive experience with a Big 4 or regional public accounting firm
  • Substantial familiarity with internal audit, SOC reporting, information technology, business process controls, risk advisory, SOX 404 implementation and compliance, and/or other business consulting engagements
  • Active professional certification (CPA or CIA or CISA required)
  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced education, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of SOC attestation standards, agreed-upon procedures, entity-level risk assessments, business process improvement, and SOX 404 standards, as well as professional practice standards including independence, ethics, attestation, and quality control standards, and financial reporting requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Very organized and highly efficient at managing multiple projects
  • Ability to interact with senior members of companies and CPA firms
  • Ability to collaborate and promote teamwork, solve problems, take initiative, and show openness to new ideas
  • Ability to conduct and use research, analysis, and experience to inform sound decisions
  • Ability to stay informed of current developments and industry trends relevant to accounting, assurance, attestation, and advisory topics
  • Willingness to embrace and ability to thrive within an entrepreneurial culture

THE COMPENSATION

  • $100,000 - $200,000 total compensation range, depending on experience
  • Discretionary personalized performance bonuses
