LOCATION
While we maintain a physical office in Irvine, CA, we are committed to a remote work environment. Candidates must align with one of the following options:
- Reside within 50 miles of Irvine, CA
- Be willing to relocate
- Commit to travel to Irvine, CA on an as-needed basis
Strong preference will be given to candidates who meet either of the first two options.
THE ROLE
We are seeking full-time or part-time Accounting & Advisory Crew (also referred to as “Associates”) to join our team in a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day activities and priorities of multiple CPA firms or companies
- Consulting and researching technical accounting, advisory, assurance, or auditing issues
- Serving as a preparer and/or reviewer of deliverables and work papers for public and private companies and CPA firms
- Supporting CPA firms undergoing a PCAOB inspection or AICPA peer review
- Composing quality control policies and procedures
- Testing a CPA firm’s or company’s system of quality control
- Developing training on relevant accounting, advisory, or assurance topics
- Planning and executing on internal strategic initiatives and business development activities
THE QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must be either an experienced high-performing undergraduate senior, graduate student, or recent graduate
- Plans to pursue an active professional certification (CPA preferred, CIA or CISA considered)
- General knowledge of technical accounting standards, SOC attestation standards, agreed-upon procedures, entity-level risk assessments, business process improvement, and SOX 404 standards, as well as professional practice standards including independence, ethics, attestation, and quality control standards, and financial reporting requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Very organized and highly efficient at managing multiple projects
- Ability to interact with senior members of companies and CPA firms
- Ability to collaborate and promote teamwork, solve problems, take initiative, and show openness to new ideas
- Ability to conduct and use research, analysis, and experience to inform sound decisions
- Ability to stay informed of current developments and industry trends relevant to accounting, assurance, attestation, and advisory topics
- Willingness to embrace and ability to thrive and adapt within an entrepreneurial culture

THE COMPENSATION
- $65,000 - $85,000 annual base salary range, depending on experience and role
- $3,000 annual CPAClub Care monetary reimbursement for full-time employees’ personal expenses that support your financial, mental and physical well-being
- Variable profit sharing for full-time employees
