Summary Courageous Leadership Alliance, Inc. is seeking an experienced Training Development Specialist / Instructional Designer to design, develop, deploy, and sustain interactive web-based training (WBT) supporting Air Force Financial Management (FM) readiness evaluations and competitions. The incumbent will translate real-world contingency finance, disbursing, budget execution, and audit readiness functions into role-based, scenario-driven learning solutions that simulate deployed team environments. Duties Design and develop interactive, scenario-based WBT with branching logic and decision-based outcomes. Create multi-role simulations (minimum four learner roles) with timed exercises and role-specific injects. Apply adult learning theory and performance-based instructional design principles. Develop storyboards, decision trees, and learning flow diagrams in collaboration with government SMEs. Build SCORM- and/or xAPI-compliant courses using Articulate Storyline 360 (or equivalent). Integrate, test, deploy, and sustain courses within DoD-approved LMS/LXP platforms (e.g., Percipio/Skillsoft, myLearning). Implement learner tracking (decisions, time on task, progression paths) and support LMS reporting. Manage course updates, release cycles, and documentation. Conduct learner evaluations, surveys, and after-action reviews. Analyze performance data and recommend improvements to training effectiveness. Support continuous process improvement across training iterations. Requirements Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, Financial Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience developing or delivering DoD or federal training. Demonstrated experience designing interactive, branching eLearning simulations. Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 or comparable authoring tools. Experience producing SCORM-compliant content (xAPI familiarity preferred). Active Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Air Force FM or DoD finance training programs. Familiarity with Percipio/Skillsoft, myLearning, or similar LMS/LXP platforms. Experience designing team-based or role-based simulations. Knowledge of contingency operations, readiness exercises, or inspection environments. Experience using learner analytics or xAPI/LRS reporting.
