Our private practice focuses on helping couples improve their relationship by using evidence based treatments. We are looking for an amazing therapist to join our team! Our practice has an incredible team and we truly care about our therapists well being and burnout. Since we are a private pay practice we are selective about the clients we take. Training in evidence based treatment for couples is a top priority and the therapist will have access to trainings like Gottman, Imago, and DBT for Couples.

About The Position:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping people connect with their emotions and will be experienced in working directly with clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychotherapist to utilize their communication expertise to help others and develop professional relationships with clients.

Requirements:

• Ability to have a hybrid schedule, telehealth sessions and in person sessions in our Princeton office
• Therapist can make their own hours but will need to be able to work at least two evenings per week
• Take a caseload of a minimum of fifteen clients
• Candidate will start with a small caseload and build up over time to see approximately 25 couples per week
• The therapist needs to be understanding that building a private practice can take time and it might take 3-6 months to have a full caseload (full caseload of 25 clients)
• MUST BE FULLY LICENSED LCSW, LPC, LMFT or MINIMUM 2 years of clinical experience as an LSW, LAC, LAMFT
• Couples therapy experience is preferred and required or extensive training in evidence based treatments

Responsibilities:

• Understand your patient's problems, decide on a course of treatment and help them cope.
• Be aware of federal and state regulations regarding the practice of psychotherapy.
• Help patients overcome their problems and adjust to life changes and losses.
• Understand the theoretical framework of your treatment method and use it to analyze specific situations.
• Help patients develop more self-confidence and independence; also, help them reflect on their own lives.
• Be attentive while listening to your patients because they might experience their problems as more severe than they really are.
• Be willing to grow and learn the most effective methods of treatment.
