We are seeking a talented and passionate Community and Social Marketing Specialist to join our team to help build our brand voice, create compelling content, and engage a growing community of parents, advocates, experts, and partners across various channels.


You will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support the growth of our company. Primary responsibilities will include:


  • Acting as the day-to-day owner and operator of COSMO’s owned media channels (blog, email, social) in coordination with stakeholders across the COSMO team.
  • Helping refine and consistently deliver COSMO’s unique perspective and brand voice across creative content and owned media channels.
  • Managing day-to-day social media activities including scheduling, posting, engagement, and analyzing results.
  • Managing new customer lifecycle and engagement strategies and campaigns via email and SMS to mobilize our thousands of COSMO families and increase lifetime customer value.
  • Managing partner and affiliate operations to help build an active community sharing the COSMO mission (influencers, content creators, customers, brand partners, etc.) 
  • Utilizing analytics tools to track performance, gain insights, and adjust strategies as needed to boost effectiveness.


This role will report to COSMO’s Director of Brand & Marketing. It’s an exciting growth opportunity for a creative self-starter, dynamic communicator, and results-driven individual who is passionate about storytelling, startups, and serving kids & families!



About You:

You’re someone who’s passionate about community, loves finding that spark of connection, and dreaming up new ideas (content, partnerships, campaigns, you name it!) to engage and bring people together. In particular, you are excited about serving and understanding the needs of kids, parents and caregivers today in our digital world. What does all that look like?


Your Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a marketing and communications role (marketing, social media, content strategy, etc.)
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with experience writing blog, email, social, and website content.
  • Experience building online communities and managing engagement/lifecycle marketing strategies (e.g. managing influencers, creating email newsletters, etc.)
  • Familiarity with social media management and content creation best practices across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
  • Some experience in graphic design & video editing tools preferred (e.g, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Understanding of SEO best practices a plus.
