Responsibilities


  1. Security Analysis and Monitoring: Conduct regular security assessments and monitor systems for any irregularities or breaches.
  2. Coordination of Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessments
  3. Implementation & coordination of User Awareness Programs
  4. Policy & Procedure development for security programs
  5. Architecture, Design and Implementation of security solutions: no limited to software, hardware, threat detection platforms, EDR, IdP, SIEM, User Awareness and Email security
  6. Incident & Event Response: Be prepared to respond to cybersecurity incidents, including after-hours on-call duties, ensuring rapid and effective resolution. Respond to security alerts and determine a root cause.
  7. Client Support and Consultation: Provide high-quality cybersecurity expertise and consultancy to clients, ensuring their cybersecurity needs are met to reduce risk. Communicate effectively will all employees from C-suite to workforce members.
  8. Technical Skill Development: Continuously upgrade your technical knowledge and skills in cybersecurity and information technology.
  9. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, embodying our core values, to achieve collective goals.
  10. Reporting and Documentation: Accurately document security incidents, analysis findings, and action plans for both internal and client reference. Develop and manage security reports and metrics for clients.
  11. Project Involvement: Engage as a project leader and consultant, contributing to the development and implementation of security solutions.
  12. Training and Awareness: Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and threats and participate in relevant training programs.
  13. Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security policies and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  14. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance via phone, email, tickets, face-to-face and chat delivering high-quality service. Drive problem investigations and resolutions. Interface with appropriate technical personnel for client problems that cannot be resolved effectively.
  15. Ticket Management: Ensure tickets are handled according to our service level targets (SLTs).


Skills, Requirements, and Abilities

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience with implementing security control and compliance frameworks. (NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST, CIS, PCI, etc.)

Understanding of Email security such as DKIM, DMARC, SPF, etc.

Familiar with Security Awareness Training and best practices.

Security best practices.

Cybersecurity knowledge in line with Security+ or ISC2 CC

Working knowledge of Firewalls

Working knowledge of Wireless networks and Access Points

Network knowledge in line with a Network+ or CCNA


Expertise in IT applications, processes, software, and equipment.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop, Server, Linux and Azure environments.

Proficient in planning and preparing written communications.

Understanding of Microsoft 365 & Azure configuration, management, and troubleshooting.

Understanding of DNS, DHCP.

Understanding of Email, DNS, and Endpoint security.

Additional skills as required by leadership.

Schedule and Availability:

Willingness to work occasionally on weekends and holidays based on workload.

Credentials and Experience:

2-7 years of progressive responsible experience in Information Technology or Cybersecurity or a related field.

Cybersecurity industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CC, CompTIA Security+, etc.) with a commitment to obtaining additional relevant certifications.
