Job Summary

Corserva seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures, with a strong emphasis on switches, routers, and firewall configurations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead network projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the integrity and security of our clients’ network environments. 

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation:

• Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructures to meet client requirements.
• Configure and optimize network hardware, including switches, routers, and firewalls, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.  

Firewall & Security Management:

• Implement and manage firewall solutions to protect network integrity.
• Monitor network security measures and respond to incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with the security team to enforce policies and compliance standards. 

Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

• Utilize network monitoring tools to assess performance and identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct regular assessments to ensure network reliability and efficiency.  

Project Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead network-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business goals.
• Mentor and guide junior network engineers and support staff.

On-Call Escalation Support:

• Participate in the on-call schedule to provide high-priority escalation support for critical network incidents outside regular business hours.
• Respond promptly to urgent network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution.
• Document and analyze incidents to improve future response strategies and network resilience. 

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of network engineering experience, focusing on switches, routers, and firewalls. 

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices from vendors such as HPE Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and security practices.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Auvik, SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud networking is a plus. 

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable. 

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. Standard work days and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
