Description

About Coral Health Advisors

Coral Health Advisors is a health care consulting firm focused on helping leaders navigate complexity and turn policy and market change into confident action. We work at the intersection of health policy, value-based care, and health care delivery, partnering with public and private sector clients to design strategies and support real world implementation.

We are a small, growing firm that values curiosity, clarity, collaboration, and impact. Our work spans Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial markets, with a particular focus on value-based payment models, population health, and rural health care transformation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Director to lead complex client engagements and serve as a senior leader within the firm.

This role is designed for someone who can independently own high stakes client work, manage teams, and advance projects with minimal oversight. Directors at Coral are trusted advisors to clients and critical partners to firm leadership. The right candidate will help ensure excellent delivery while meaningfully reducing day to day project management demands on Partners.

This is not purely a strategic oversight role. Directors lead, structure, and deliver client work.

This Role May Be a Good Fit If You

  • You are comfortable owning outcomes and operating with limited oversight.
  • You can bring structure to ambiguity and move work forward decisively.
  • You are confident advising senior leaders and representing your team.
  • You value and effectively balance analytical rigor and practical execution.
  • You enjoy mentoring others and strengthening the quality of work around you.

What You Will Do

Directors at Coral lead complex client engagements and contribute to firm strength. Responsibilities may include:

  • Leading multi-workstream engagements from scoping through delivery.
  • Serving as primary day to day client lead on major accounts.
  • Structuring workplans, allocating resources, and ensuring projects stay on time and on budget.
  • Developing and overseeing executive-ready deliverables grounded in policy, operational, and financial analysis.
  • Interpreting utilization, quality, and financial performance data to inform strategy.
  • Managing and mentoring Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Managing Consultants.
  • Leading proposal development, including scope design, pricing contracts, and drafting.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
  • Collaborating on firmwide initiatives that strengthen resourcing, drive growth, enhance service excellence, and support the firm’s strategic positioning.

This role emphasizes independent ownership, sound judgment, and delivery discipline.

What We Are Looking For

  • Significant professional experience, typically 8 or more years, in health care consulting, operations, or policy.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex engagements and managing teams.
  • Strong executive communication skills.
  • The ability to advise senior leaders clearly and confidently.
  • Deep familiarity with value-based care and performance-based payment models.
  • Comfort working with health care data, including claims, quality measures, and financial performance metrics, and translating insights into strategy.
  • Advanced proficiency in developing executive-ready materials using modern productivity tools, including responsible and effective use of AI.
  • Experience scoping work, managing budgets, and maintaining delivery discipline.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot quickly as business needs shift.
