This includes major gifts, corporate donations, and in-kind resources. The Development Manager will also handle donor relations, prospect research, and special events.

For over 40 years, Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (“CCSLS”) has been dedicated to protecting the rights of older residents aged 60 and older in Contra Costa County without regard to citizenship status. CCSLS provides free legal services that improve the quality of life for clients, assisting in such areas as preservation of housing, prevention of abuse, and planning for incapacity.

Our services help seniors navigate complex legal systems and secure their rights, thus enhancing their quality of life. 

 

Role Description 

 

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Development Manager. The role is located in Concord, CA with opportunities for some work from home, and the option for part time work if requested. The Development Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing some of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services' fundraising efforts, focusing on individual giving. Qualifications 

 

 

  • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, and special events 


  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans 


  • Strong research skills and ability to identify potential funding sources 


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 


  • Proficiency with donor management software 


  • Strong organizational and time management skills 


  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team 


  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and legal services for seniors is a plus 


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience 


 

Salary Range $60-80k/year full time; Part time proportional
