RV Service Technician – HVAC, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, OR CARPENTRY EXPERIENCE?
Full-Time | Competitive Pay | Career Growth | Hands-On Trade Work
Connecticut Motor Cars & Coaches is hiring RV Service Technicians.
RV service is not basic maintenance. It is real trade work on houses that move.
Motorhomes and RVs have plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, cabinetry, roofing, slide-outs, generators, electronics, sealants, structural components, and mechanical systems all built into one vehicle.
That means if you have experience in the trades, this could be an excellent next step for you.
If you have worked in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, electronics, automotive, construction, maintenance, remodeling, mechanical repair, or general hands-on trade work, your skills can transfer here.
You do not need RV experience to apply. We can teach RV systems. What we are looking for is someone who is mechanically inclined, reliable, willing to learn, and serious about building a career.
Submitting your phone number is required.
We will reach out to you by phone. Please make sure your correct phone number is included with your application. If your phone number is missing or incorrect, we will not be able to reach you.
A resume is not required, but it is strongly recommended.
Working on RVs is like working on a house, a vehicle, and a mechanical system all at once.
This is not repetitive assembly-line work. It is problem-solving. It is hands-on. It requires thinking, learning, and building skill over time.
Many strong RV technicians did not start in the RV industry. They came from the trades, construction, automotive, maintenance, or other hands-on fields and built a long-term career from there.
If you are good with your hands, willing to learn, and want a career where your skills can keep growing, this could be the right fit.
Every day is different in RV service. You may be working on a plumbing issue one day, a slide-out system the next, and an electrical concern after that.
This role is a great fit for someone who likes variety, problem-solving, and hands-on work.
Responsibilities may include:
Performing repairs and maintenance on RVs, motorhomes, and coaches
Diagnosing and troubleshooting RV systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, slide-outs, generators, roofing, sealants, and structural components
Repairing, replacing, or installing parts and systems inside and outside the coach
Working with tools, equipment, parts, diagrams, and service information
Following instructions and learning proper repair processes
Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe
Communicating clearly with the team as jobs move through the shop
Taking responsibility for the quality of your work
This can be a great career path if you have experience in:
Plumbing
Electrical
HVAC
Carpentry
Cabinetry
Electronics
Construction
Remodeling
Handyman work
General skilled labor
RV experience is a plus, but it is not required.
We are looking for someone who:
Has worked with tools or is comfortable learning
Can troubleshoot and figure things out
Likes hands-on work
Shows up consistently and on time
Can follow directions and learn from experienced technicians
Takes ownership of tasks
Pays attention to details
Works well with a team
Wants a career, not just a temporary job
Can move with urgency without being careless
Understands that customers are trusting us with something important
Paid hands-on training
A stable, full-time position
A real career path in a growing industry
Exposure to many different trades and systems
Support from experienced technicians and leadership
Opportunities to build specialized skills
Year-round work
Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, retirement plan, and more
A shop that is serious about doing good work and taking care of customers
