Description

Are you the kind of person who enjoys figuring out how things work?

Do you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and tackling something different every day? Are you mechanically inclined, handy, or experienced in one or more of the skilled trades?

If so, you may be a great fit for our team, even if you've never worked on an RV before.

Connecticut Motor Cars & Coaches (CMCC) is looking for motivated, hands-on individuals to join our growing RV Service Department.

We work on some of the most impressive motorhomes on the road, diagnosing problems, making repairs, installing upgrades, and keeping our customers' coaches operating at their best.

No two days are exactly alike. One day you might be troubleshooting an electrical issue, the next repairing a plumbing system, replacing a mechanical component, or installing new equipment.

We're looking for people who take pride in their work, enjoy a challenge, and genuinely like fixing things.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of RV systems and components.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance repairs.
  • Install and upgrade equipment, accessories, and components.
  • Troubleshoot problems and develop practical, effective repair solutions.
  • Work on systems including slide-outs, leveling systems, appliances, heating and cooling, generators, and more.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to solve complex issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Take ownership of your work and deliver quality repairs.

Who Would Be a Great Fit?

You don't necessarily need RV experience to succeed in this role.

We encourage applications from people with backgrounds in:

  • Automotive or diesel mechanics
  • Electrical work
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Carpentry or construction
  • Equipment repair and maintenance
  • General building or property maintenance
  • Mechanical assembly or installation
  • Other hands-on technical or skilled trades

You may also be a great fit if you're naturally handy, enjoy working on vehicles or equipment, and have developed strong mechanical skills through personal projects or hands-on experience.

We're especially interested in people who:

  • Enjoy working with their hands and learning new skills.
  • Have a natural ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Like variety and don't want to repeat the same tasks every day.
  • Take pride in doing things correctly.
  • Are dependable, motivated, and willing to take initiative.
  • Can work independently while also contributing to a team.
  • Are open to learning new systems, techniques, and technologies.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and skill level.
  • Eligibility for overtime pay.
  • Monthly technician performance bonus opportunities.
  • Company-sponsored RV industry training and certification opportunities.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • SIMPLE IRA with company match.
  • Paid vacation.
  • Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and advance within the company.
  • A well-equipped facility with a wide variety of interesting projects.
