We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our healthcare organization’s daily operations. This role requires a professional with experience in medical billing, basic accounting, and human resources support. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, greeting customers, and managing schedules.
Maintain and organize office files, records, and correspondence.
Prepare reports, memos, and other documents as needed.
Process patient billing and insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
Assist with payroll processing and expense reporting.
Support monthly financial reporting and budget tracking.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
Coordinate staff training, certifications, and performance evaluations.
Support benefits administration and employee communications.
Education: High School Diploma,
Experience: Minimum 2 years of office experience in a healthcare setting, with exposure to billing, accounting, and HR functions.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with medical billing software (e.g., Tebra, E-clinical Works, Athenahealth, or similar).
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and HR practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
Bilingual (English/Spanish or other language) is a plus.
Office-based role with standard business hours.
Occasional extended hours may be required during peak periods.
$16 - $18 per hour
