Common Good Hospitality, Inc. Common Good Traverse City - Artisan Baker's Apprentice Traverse City, MI · Full time Company website

Learn the process of making bread and pastry from the ground up, and help us do whatever else needs to be done in the bakery each week.

About Common Good Hospitality, Inc.

Common Good Bakery® is a neighborhood joint with two stores in Traverse City. We opened in 2017 & we've baked every day since: bread, pastry ... things people drive across town for.

Here's what you should know before you apply:

We pay a living wage. Full-timers earn health, dental, & vision insurance, & full time here means 32 hours a week. Paid time off accrues for everyone on the roster. Tips go into one pool for the whole team. Except the owners ... that would obviously not be cool (or legal).

Almost nobody in the food business does any of this. We do it on purpose, & we charge what it costs.

We hire for who you are, not what you've done. A lot of our best people walked in with no bakery experience, some still in high school. They learned the trade here & they moved up here. That's the design: systems you can read, a crew that teaches, & pay that climbs as you prove yourself.

Everybody is cross-trained, so there's always something new to learn. There's no office at either store, because serving each other & our customers is what matters.

The place runs on systems, not on any one person. We'd rather you think like an owner than wait to be told, & we'll teach you how.

Our purpose is to better the lives of everyone we meet. That starts with you.

Our Mission: Do Good, Every Day.
