We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Funeral Home Location Manager to lead our dedicated team.

Job Description: As the Funeral Home Location Manager at Columbia Funeral Home, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate care to grieving families. In addition to your responsibilities in overseeing funeral arrangements and embalming, we are seeking a candidate with strong leadership skills to foster a supportive atmosphere and lead our eager and high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

• Quality of Care: Ensure the highest standard of care for our families and community. Oversee the implementation of best practices and adhere to industry regulations and ethical standards.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Understand and respect the diverse cultural and religious practices of our community, adapting services to meet the unique needs of each family.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, offering support and guidance to families throughout the funeral process.
• Leadership and Team Management: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance and support to our dedicated team. Uphold a culture of empathy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Financial Performance: As the Location Manager, take responsibility for the financial performance of Columbia Funeral Home. Develop and execute strategies to ensure the continued success and growth of the business.
• Funeral Arrangements: Collaborate with grieving families to plan and organize funeral services, ensuring their cultural and individual preferences are respected.
• Embalming and Restoration: Ensure embalming procedures are conducted with precision and care, ensuring the deceased is prepared for viewing in accordance with family wishes and legal requirements.
• Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records, including death certificates, permits, and other necessary documentation, in compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Funeral Director and Embalmer License: Valid licenses in the state of Washington.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team. Create a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth and accountability.
• Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in managing the financial performance of a funeral home or related business.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Funeral Director and Embalmer, with a track record of successful service.
• Cultural Competence: Understanding and appreciation of diverse cultural and religious funeral practices.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate support to grieving families and provide clear expectations to team members.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Professional Development & Support for You:

You will work alongside six other funeral homes within our family run network, supported by their managers and a dedicated leadership team to ensure a collaborative professional environment as well as to ensure your own continued professional development.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
• Annual Performance Bonuses: Eligible for additional annual performance-based bonuses.
• Signing Bonus: Up to $10,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates.
