ColoVAX is seeking a compassionate and dedicated RN to join our team in Ouray County, Colorado from September 1 to November 20 to cover for an RN on maternity leave, with the possibility of extension on a part-time basis if you are willing to travel (mileage and travel time is paid). This position plays a crucial role in providing vaccinations to children in accordance with the Vaccines for Children program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric vaccines and be committed to promoting public health and safety. Requirements:

• Current RN license in the State of Colorado
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Join us in our mission to protect and promote the health of our community through vaccination.
• Preferred: Knowledge of VFC program guidelines and vaccine administration protocols

Duties:

• Administer vaccines to children according to VFC program guidelines
• Educate parents and caregivers on the importance of vaccinations and proper immunization schedules
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and best practices in vaccine administration
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while ensuring high quality patient care

Skills:

• Proficient in the use of electronic health records for vaccines
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
