ColoVAX, LLC is a small business based in Denver, Colorado. We provide mobile vaccine clinics to underserved communities throughout Colorado and other states. We also provide temporary vaccination and testing staff to support mobile public health clinics in partnership with State and Local health departments. Safe and effective vaccination and testing clinics are essential in controlling the spread of communicable diseases, and our goal is to provide vaccines everywhere, to everyone.
Job Description
ColoVAX is seeking compassionate and dedicated Lead RNs to join our team in Colorado. This position plays a crucial role in providing vaccinations to children in accordance with the Vaccines for Children program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric vaccines and be committed to promoting public health and safety. This position requires travel within Colorado (compensated) and the ability to work irregular hours when required by clinic schedules predetermined by the State. The successful candidate will be a self starter who needs minimal supervision to lead vaccine clinics.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer vaccines in accordance with regulatory requirements and vaccine administration best practices
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after vaccination procedures
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide vaccine education and support to patients and their families
Requirements
- Leadership experience
- Active RN or NP license in the State of Colorado
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work outdoors
- Travel across Colorado, including some overnight travel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of VFC program guidelines and vaccine administration protocols
- Background check
- Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

- Lead mobile vaccine clinics across the State of Colorado
- Administer vaccines to children according to VFC program guidelines
- Educate parents and caregivers on the importance of vaccinations and proper immunization schedules
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and best practices in vaccine administration
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while ensuring high quality patient care
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including nurses and administrative staff
- Collaborate with others to ensure effective communication and patient care
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information
