Schedule & Availability

Required Availability:


  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is required
  • This position primarily works morning and opening shifts, with occasional evening and closing shifts based on business needs.
  • Up to 3–4 shifts per week, depending on business needs

Morning shifts are responsible for opening the studio efficiently, preparing the space for guests, completing thorough cleaning tasks throughout the studio, and ensuring the kiln room, supplies, and work areas remain clean, organized, and ready for daily operations.

Responsibilities

Ceramic Processing & Kiln Room Operations

  • Glaze customer pottery with consistency and attention to detail
  • Load and unload electric kilns safely following firing schedules and studio procedures
  • Prepare fired ceramics for customer pickup, including sanding, finishing, quality checks, and packaging
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kiln room
  • Organize completed customer orders for pickup
  • Assist with rush orders and maintain accurate processing workflows
  • Follow all studio safety procedures when working with kilns, glazes, and equipment

Studio Operations

  • Open the studio efficiently and complete daily opening procedures
  • Perform thorough cleaning and organization throughout the studio
  • Receive shipments and restock pottery and supplies
  • Organize shelves, storage areas, and back-of-house inventory
  • Report damaged merchandise and inventory concerns to management
  • Help maintain an organized, well-stocked, and welcoming studio

Guest Experience & Team Support

  • Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service
  • Assist customers with pottery painting techniques and studio processes when needed
  • Support reservations, walk-in seating, and overall guest flow
  • Assist teammates during busy periods, events, and weekends
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers and managers
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or similar environment
  • Prior experience loading electric kilns and glazing ceramics preferred
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and communicates effectively with the team and management.
  • Willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and guest experience
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

Compensation & Benefits

  • Typical earnings: $19.50–$23.00 per hour, including base pay and tip share
