Collier is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join our team of experts as a Senior Geophysicist at our Lakewood, CO office. Primary responsibilities will be to participate in, and lead a variety of geophysical subsurface investigations, interpret complex geophysical data, manage technical projects across energy, mining, and environmental sectors, and conduct surveys such as: borehole logging, electrical resistivity, GPR, seismic, magnetics and electromagnetics. Additional job tasks will be performing field acquisition, data processing, report writing, presentations, or other digital deliverables.
We are seeking a candidate who has a strong work ethic. You must be disciplined, organized, able to understand and articulate technical / geophysical information, and work well in and lead small teams While primarily focused on senior-level analysis and project management, this role involves periodic field deployments to lead complex geophysical surveys or oversee data acquisition. The candidate must be capable of operating effectively in diverse terrain and weather conditions, maintaining the hands-on ability to independently deploy, troubleshoot, and handle specialized field instrumentation. Flexibility for occasional, sometimes short-notice travel is required, with adaptable hours during active field work.
· Bachelors in Geophysics or Geology with emphasis on geophysics, MS preferred
· Minimum 10 years of experience,
· Physically active and able to lift up to 40 pounds.
· Field methods experience, preferably some seismic, electrical or electromagnetics
· Exposure to data processing with a variety of commercially available software
· Proficient in programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Earth, PDF editing, Gmail, etc.
