Location: Chattanooga, On-Site

Cocoa Asante is a luxury chocolate company that handcrafts artisan chocolates that are literally almost too pretty to eat. The cacao used in our chocolate is sourced from our home country Ghana, and it’s made in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our goal is to grow into a bean-to-bar company that sources cacao — which is the seed that cocoa and chocolate are made from —  directly from our family farm in Ghana. Our ultimate vision is to help create a more sustainable, ethical and equitable chocolate industry.


Job Overview:

You will be joining our company as a Packaging Associate. In your role, you will be responsible for folding, labeling, and packaging boxes of bonbons, bars, hot cocoa bombs, and other chocolate products. This role is integral to the success of Cocoa Asante as how our customers receive their orders is just as important as what they receive. How well chocolates are packaged have a direct impact on customer retention. 




Key responsibilities include 

  1. Read and decipher work orders
  2. Locate and extract merchandise from shelves and storage areas
  3. Confirm merchandise information matches that of the work order
  4. Inspect chocolates for damage, flaws, and irregularities
  5. Pack chocolates securely and neatly into their boxes appropriate boxes
  6. Fold and label boxes
  7. Transport packed items to the appropriate location for fulfillment 
  8. Adhere to state health and safety practices (short nails, hair tied back, gloves, etc)
  9. Communicate daily with cross functional teams from the CEO to production staff


This role is a part-time position that will last from the beginning of November to mid-December 2023

Pay: $14/hr - $14.50/hr Schedule: Any days from Sunday - Friday. Shifts available: 9 am - 5 pm, 8 am - 12 pm, or 1 pm - 5 pm. Must be able to work at least 16 - 32 hours/week.

Salary

$14 - $14.5 per hour
